I’m a professionally trained book editor and story consultant. Aside from earning a bachelor’s degree in English Literature and a minor in Creative Writing, I received the The Poynter ACES Certificates in Editing, and I’m an active member of the American Copy Editors Society and Club Ed for Freelancers. And even though I’m a professional, that doesn’t mean I’ll stop learning—continuing education is an important part of my business as editing best practices and conscious language evolves.

Be Mine Books was born at a crossroads in my life, during a time when I faced an unexpected lung disease diagnosis that changed my path in ways I never anticipated—but in many ways, for the better. It became a catalyst for reflection, for slowing down, and for pursuing passions that bring joy and connection. Books have always been my sanctuary, and creating Be Mine Books felt like opening the door to a lifelong dream—a space to celebrate storytelling, foster community, and share my love of romance with others.

As a certified book editor and story consultant, I’ve had the privilege of working with authors to shape their stories into works that captivate and inspire. My passion lies in helping writers bring their visions to life—whether through line editing that polishes their words or through developmental edits that help refine their plots, characters, and world-building. I understand the dedication it takes to craft a story and take pride in supporting authors on their creative journeys.

At home, I’m the wife of my very best friend, a homeschooling mom of five (three of which have complex medical needs), and a freelance photographer who finds beauty in the everyday moments. Through Be Mine Books, I aim to weave all of these facets of my life together. This space isn’t just about discovering your next great read—it’s about celebrating the art of storytelling, building connections with fellow book lovers, and creating a community where the love of stories can flourish.
